The History of Red Dress Shoppe:

Red Dress Shoppe started as a boutique in Old Town Pasadena, California in 2002.  Through the store I met some awesome customers and great like-minded friends.  However, running a retail store was such an emotional and financial drain that was slowly killing me, metaphorically ... and I needed my life back! 

So, the Shoppe storefront closed in March 2005 and went completely online!

My philosophy has always been good style does not need to cost a fortune.  I spent years shopping at thrift stores and vintage stores, hunting for unique items to find my own personal style.  For the webstore, I try to pick the best items I can find at the desired price point.  Unfortunately, most of the cute stuff out there ends up being from a junior/young contemporary manufacturer, where everything is made too teeny-tiny!  I regret that many of our items run so small! 

I know the fashion industry does not make a positive impact on the world, but I suppose I'm pretty good at what I do, so ..... !   Thank you for visiting the site and I hope you find something you like!
